This course explains
proximate cause, non-payment of premium and Seaworthiness. It also describes
the rules and regulations and various Indian laws for insurance such as
Contract Act, Stamp Act, etc. Description about the Insurable interest,
insurable interest in life, legal liability, subrogation, and contract of
indemnity, difference between insurance and wager and contribution is given.
The Marine Insurance Act, 1963
is divided into 93 sections which are mentioned in this chapter.
