This course talks about the basics of Airline Cargo Acceptance & Handling. By the end of this course, you will be adept with the definitions & common terms used in Air Cargo industry, understand what acceptance of cargo entails along with regulatory responsibilities and rights of shippers. Furthermore, you will be introduced to the concept of categorised cargo and air cargo rates & related surcharges, destination functions & delivery of shipment, cargo tracing, claims and refund, dangerous goods awareness, load ability of aircraft & payload. Most importantly, you will be taught about Special Handling Codes which will help you to communicate with clarity while passing critical information during operations. Important regulations and definitions will be taught in-depth and must be kept in mind as the legal aspect behind common parlance is elucidated upon. As it is important to read these regulations, you will be taught how to do so effectively and efficiently.

Mr. Mahendra Prasad Pokhriyal has over 30 years of Experience in Aviation Industry including Passenger Sales, Airport Handling and Air Cargo. He has also played a pivotal role in development and execution of various Industry segments associated with the Aviation field, including but not limited to Sales & Marketing Management, Airport Operations Management, Aviation Safety Management, Supply Chain Management, E-Commerce Management, Air Freight and Freight Forwarding and Trainings and Development of work force (Supervisory category and above to prepare them for Managerial Roles and Responsibilities). He has around 25 professional trainings to his credit, the most recent one being the AVSEC –Awareness Training conducted by Aviation College, affiliated to Edith Cowan University Australia-2016 and Key Accounts Management – Aviation College Dubai – 2106.
